Refund Policy

Your satisfaction is important to us. This Refund Policy outlines the terms under which Tardigrade Packaging accepts returns and issues refunds. Given the custom nature of most of our products, please review this policy thoroughly before placing an order.

1. Overview

At Tardigrade Packaging, we take pride in delivering high-quality custom packaging solutions. Due to the bespoke and custom-manufactured nature of our products, our refund and return policy differs from standard retail policies. Please read this policy carefully before placing your order.

2. Custom & Made-to-Order Products

All custom packaging products are manufactured specifically to your approved specifications and are therefore non-refundable unless they arrive defective, damaged, or materially differ from the approved proof. Because production begins only after you approve our digital proof, we cannot accept returns or issue refunds based on changes of mind, design preference changes after approval, or ordering errors on your part.

3. Defective or Damaged Products

If your order arrives defective, damaged in transit, or significantly deviates from the approved proof, you may be eligible for a replacement, partial credit, or full refund. To initiate a claim, you must notify us within 7 business days of receiving your order by emailing sales@tardigradepackaging.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and photographic evidence of the defect or damage.

4. Refund Eligibility Criteria

Refunds or replacements may be issued when: the product contains a manufacturing defect; the product is significantly different from the approved digital proof; the wrong product was shipped; or the product was damaged during transit (must be reported to the carrier as well). Refunds will not be issued for: minor color variations between digital proof and physical print (industry-standard variation of up to 10% is acceptable); orders where incorrect information was provided by the customer; and orders that have already been used or partially deployed.

5. Standard (Non-Custom) Products

For non-custom, standard stock packaging products, returns may be accepted within 14 days of delivery provided the items are unused, in their original condition and packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error. Refunds for standard products will be processed within 10 business days of receiving the returned items.

6. Order Cancellation

Orders may be cancelled without penalty before production begins. Once production has commenced, cancellation is not possible and any deposit paid will be forfeited to cover materials and labor costs already incurred. To request a cancellation, contact us immediately at sales@tardigradepackaging.com with your order number. We will confirm whether cancellation is still possible.

7. Deposit Policy

For custom orders, deposits paid are non-refundable once production has begun. If an order is cancelled before production starts, we will refund the deposit in full, less any design or pre-production costs already incurred. Deposits are credited toward the total cost of your order.

8. Refund Process

Once your refund claim is approved, we will process your refund within 10 business days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method. We will notify you via email when the refund has been processed. Please allow additional time for your bank or payment provider to reflect the credit.

9. Disputes & Resolution

We are committed to resolving any issues fairly and promptly. If you are unsatisfied with our initial response to a claim, please escalate your concern to info@tardigradepackaging.com. We will work with you in good faith to reach a mutually acceptable resolution. All disputes should first be attempted to be resolved informally before any formal legal action.
